My name is Anjali Desai; student of life, mother, wife, daughter, sister and Reiki master.

Why did I choose Reiki?
Being raised in a Hindu home, meditative practices and alternative healing was always encouraged. I was attracted to Western Medicine and lived by their rules. I dabbled in meditation and some yoga classes, but there never a fire to continue. Throughout my life, I always felt a call for healing, however, being a doctor or nurse were never something that excited me. I even interviewed for Chiropractic school and didn't end up enrolling. All my prior attempts to realize my calling, just fizzled out.
Arriving to adult years, I was doing a job that I was great at but not completely feeling that I was making the impact that I was meant to make. In the last 5 years, I experienced trauma. A lot of which was mental trauma. I became haunted in both my waking and sleeping hours. I was a functioning zombie. Desperate to function again, I called my Reiki master for help. I didn't know the benefits, just knew it could help. I told her simply "I need help, I am in a way". She got back to me and knew exactly what happened. Through her Reiki healing, I found my path and purpose. Looking back at where I was at the start of my journey, I can see where my childhood traumas were and how I released them. I work through situations and they no longer take a hold of me. I discovered ways of actualizing my authentic self. The people that have "popped" up in my life during this time is truly the work of the power of the universe. All the things I felt and intuitively learned through my process freed me from my reactive mindset to a Let It Flow mindset. I feel that giving back to the world and healing it one session at a time will leave the world a better place for everyone to experience.
